LORENZ Co-Sponsors 22nd Eurocity Marathon Messe Frankfurt (Germany)
Frankfurt, GERMANY: LORENZ has co-sponsored the 22nd Eurocity Marathon Messe Frankfurt which was held on the 26th October 2003. Approximately 10,000 participants registered for the 42.195 kilometre course, which included runners, Handbikers and skaters.
LORENZ sponsorship concentrated on the ìHandbikersî and was made possible through the LORENZ Trust.
Winner of the menís handbiking contest was the Australian Johann Mayrhoffer, who completed the course in 1 hour 11 minutes and 27 seconds. The second place was occupied by Harrie van Hout from the Netherlands, who completed the course in 1 hour 16 minutes and 54 seconds.
Monique van der Vorst from the Netherlands won the womenís race reaching the finishing line in 1 hour 20 minutes and 23 seconds. Andrea Eskau from Germany came close second after 1 hour 21 minutes and 41 seconds.
