docuBridge Partners with Workshare for Document Authoring Process

GUILDFORD, UNITED KINGDOM: LORENZ today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Workshare, leading provider of document content productivity applications, to enhance docuBridge's ability to support the document authoring process.

"We have been faced with the challenge of bringing the authoring process closer to regulatory affairs," says Wolfgang Witzel, President & CEO of LORENZ Life Sciences. "In some companies these two tasks run in parallel for certain sections of a dossier and it becomes vital that documents forming part of a dossier and subject to late changes are edited within a fully controlled environment. This scenario applies in particular to small and medium-sized businesses, where regulatory affairs and document authoring are often closely tied together."

"WorkshareÆ DeltaViewÆ and WorkshareÆ Synergy™ allow multiple users to compare, author and collaborate within complex documents," says Akira Yamaguchi, VP of Global Product Marketing & Development. "We are integrating Workshare’s products into our docuBridgeÆ suite of products to offer a multi-user authoring process in a validated environment, and above all a higher return on investment for our product. Incorporating this functionality will broaden the scope of usage for docuBridgeÆ."

Andrew Pearson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Workshare comments “This partnership allows us to broaden our offering within the life sciences market, allowing more organisations within this sector to benefit from our solutions”.

The new technologies will be available as an additional module and will also form part of a validated installation if so desired. docuBridgeÆ controls every aspect of document change and Workshare DeltaView and Workshare Synergy enable authors to identify changes made within documents in a collaborative environment.
