docuBridge' capabilities enhanced with LIMS Interface

GUILDFORD, UNITED KINGDOM: LORENZ has today announced the release of it's LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) interface to it’s world-class submission management solution, docuBridgeÆ. The interface can be configured to interact with the different LIMS available.

"The release of this important enhancement enables even more automation," says Wolfgang Witzel, President of LORENZ Life Sciences. "It also means that the return on investment on our product will rise even further."

"The automated and 'audit trailed' rendering process of LIMS reports to page-authentic Adobe PDF files as well as transfer into docuBridge without user interaction enables our customers to manage the complete process until submission publishing in a validated environment compliant with 21 CFR Part 11," says Akira Yamaguchi, VP of Global Product Development & Product Marketing. "The first such installation has already successfully been in operation since December 2002."

The FDA considers any information maintained by predicate rules to be the legally binding equivalent to paper records if recorded electronically. The implementation of an electronic information and documentation management system will alleviate the more difficult requirements of this part of the business. The docuBridgeÆ LIMS Interface uses docuBridgeÆ’ advanced API to communicate between the different applications and focuses on compliance: streamlining and automating processes in this area can significantly ease business pressures, particularly in relation to GxP and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

LORENZ is looking to evaluate other areas in which this automated and controlled mechanism can add value to a business process.
