As part of the programme "Authors of Today", LORENZ has once again invited a lecturer to talk at its headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. The visiting lecturer was well-known currency expert Professor Dr. Wilhelm Hankel, who held an engaging talk on the topic: "The Euro: Curse or Blessing", coinciding with the current financial crisis in Greece.
Professor Dr. Hankel had spoke at the LORENZ Frankfurt Podium over 12 years ago, when the Euro was first introduced. Even then Dr. Hankel positioned himself as a strict opponent of the European currency. As Germany’s eldest and most experienced financial expert, as well as an aficionado of the financial world, he spoke about the different levels of development in the European countries and presented a possible solution to the financial crisis in Greece.
The LORENZ lecture was attended by over 90 guests, all clients and business partners of the LORENZ Group. This was the second such event held under the motto “Authors of Today”, and was hosted by both Raoul-A. Lorenz, CEO of LORENZ Archiv-Systeme GmbH, and the founder of the LORENZ Group, Heinz-Jürgen Lorenz.
