Lorenz sponsors DGRA initiative along with IMS Health and Siemens
DGRA (Deutsche Gesellschaft f¸r Regulatorische Angelegenheiten e.V.) has officially been listed as an Association and unites people from the regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical industry, universities as well as the legal sector. Lorenz, along with IMS Health Inc and Siemens AG, is one of the sponsors to the association.
The aim is to broaden the knowledge of individuals in the area of regulatory affairs as well as creating a platform for improved communication between universities, industries and agencies.
As a means of improving the communication, the University of Bonn has created an academic programme together with the DGRA that will qualify attending students as an "Expert for Drug Regulatory Affairs", the first of its kind in Germany.
The programme is unique in that it not only trains on legal aspects, quality management, documentation, regulatory strategies, but also on information management, an area that is currently revolutionising the way in which regulatory staff are and will be working.
Lorenz is sponsoring this initiative with the provision of software and know-how on the use of it which should ultimately lead to students familiarising themselves with upcoming technologies they can expect to find in their working environment in the future.
